COMING SOON IN YOUR CITY!
The beauty of the music, the infectious energy of the artists - musicians and dancers, the spectacular visuals and poetic depth immerse the audience in the atmosphere of a colorful fairy tale, in which the separated languages of ancient cultures and mysterious images merge into a single language of the heart, understandable to everyone - a story of eternal love, directed through time and space.
The performance combines bright, memorable songs in several languages of the world, atmospheric instrumental compositions, spectacular dance numbers, 3D video projections, deep philosophical meanings of the plots, conveyed by poetic texts in English, and colorful designer costumes.
This is the only show in the world in which artists and creators represent such a wide range of genres:
The hero and heroine are two lovers who want to cheat death and avoid oblivion. To do this, one of them must go to the other world to find the secret of eternal life there, and the other must lead him. The story of the heroes goes through different cultures and stages of human development - from paganism to Christianity.
The heroine reads a prayer and the hero goes to the afterlife. There he finds himself in purgatory - the space between worlds, then in the Desert of Death, and from there - in a Magical Forest where souls grow, to the Tree of Life to learn the secret of eternal life. But the Tree shows him something completely different from what he expects, and this despair leads him to an unexpected decision.
All this time, the heroine invisibly stays with him and helps him - they are connected by a philosophical poetic dialogue, which in the play is spoken by either a female or a male voice.
The story of the heroes is an amazing kaleidoscope of destinies. At first they appear in the form of the Egyptian Isidis and Osiris, then the Sumerian Semiramis and Ara the Beautiful. In a Magical Forest, the hero becomes a seed, and the heroine becomes a bird on the Tree of Life. And in the finale, the hero, having finally taken off all his masks and become whole and fearless, turns with an ancient Christian prayer to the one Creator. He accepts his fate with dignity, and then a miracle happens.
The performance begins with an overture from Alexander Kuindzhi's rock symphony "The Tree of Judas". The heroine's prayer scene uses the traditional Indian "Song of Immortality", the duet of heroes in purgatory is an old Sephardic romance-lullaby, the Desert of Death sounds a shrill Moorish flamenco, the sunrise in the desert is the song Mamaora, inspired by Africa. The magical forest is conveyed by the folk “healing song” of the Quechua Indians, the Tree of Life is conveyed by the ancient Afro-Cuban ritual song Iya lagua, and the hero’s appeal to the Creator is the ancient Christian prayer “Our Father” in Aramaic.
Thus, the audience, together with the heroes, goes through not only the path of two lovers, but also the entire motley history of humanity, in which the voices of many cultures and worlds are mixed on the path from paganism to Christianity, from India to Africa, from the Middle East to Latin America.
And they all sing a jubilant love song.
The play's script is part of the "Forgotten Worlds" multi-universe, which was first born in the music albums of the play's creators, Сarina La Dulce and Alexandr Kuindzhi. They combined the music of the peoples of the world, modern sound and a mystical tale told between the songs. And then the idea took shape, the images of the songs were transferred from the Forgotten Worlds into reality and embodied in the production.
The hero of the show "Isidis" is a character from the fairy tale "The Way of the Shaman", presented in the album Afromagia. This fairy tale is a prequel to the plot of the show, in which the hero, in search of special power, unlimited mastery over fate, goes to meet an old shaman, and, having listened to his advice, chooses the most difficult path to this power.
He is lost in the Desert of Death - the dark kingdom of the Forgotten Worlds, which heroes always go through as a test, from where they find a way out, following the call of their will, and realizing that the real power is driving love.
In the play, the inquisitive hero, already together with the heroine, goes through the second part of this path, now looking for an answer to the next question - how to deceive death itself and come to eternal life without forgetting yourself.
World-famous ethno-singer, Russian World Music Awards nominee, Carina La Dulce and multi-instrumentalist and composer Alexander Kuindzhi, using acoustic and electronic instruments, create on stage a grandiose musical canvas of the performance with many sounds and voices, using the “live looping” technique - arranging music in real time, connecting layers of their own vocal and instrumental parts, authentic live sound and modern electronic music technologies.
Carina La Dulce sings and plays electronic instruments, and Alexander Kuindzhi plays several collectible acoustic and electric guitars, a medieval lute, an Arabic oud, and a Greek bouzouki. Together with the soloists, the music on stage is complemented by 2 vocalists - the duet Nova Roma.
And thus, only 4 musicians in the performance create the sound of a huge orchestra and choir, while performing all the parts live - both acoustic and electronic. The musicians in the play are in the front of the stage, and therefore, in addition to the main theatrical performance, the viewer can enjoy a real live concert with elements of modern ethnic, rock and symphonic sound.
The leitmotif of the show is Alexander Kuindzhi’s electronic rock symphony “The Tree of Judas”. The compositions combine African ritual music, Spanish flamenco, Latin American music, Indian mantras, ancient Christian prayers in Aramaic and songs in “non-existent” languages, specially created for Carina La Dulce’s music album “Songs of Forgotten Worlds”.
The dance part of the show is presented by the best artists and choreographers of Russia, performing in the styles of flamenco, modern dance, breakdancing, tribal fusion, as well as in the genres of modern ballet and plastic art - Marina Korobko (soloist of the Leningrad Center and flamenco ballet Flamenco Live), Vitaly Egorov (Participant in all seasons of the "Dance Floor Star" project) and the group Luna Umbra.
For the dance numbers of the performance, the artists use multifaceted choreography, which includes elements of the most beautiful and unusual dance styles, sometimes combining the impossible - for example, flamenco tap dance and dance on ballet pointe shoes, light objects and tribal plasticity. The dance images of the artists are so bright, original and expressive that they always cause great delight among the audience.
The designer costumes and props of the performance best reflect the uniqueness of the production - they are inspired simultaneously by ancient Byzantium, the style of tribal Africa, folk Indian and Middle Eastern costumes and space fantasy.
